Shipping & Delivery
How long will it take to receive my package?
Once shipped, delivery usually takes between 4-8 business days depending on your location. We'll send you a tracking link by email the moment your order leaves our warehouse.
I didn't receive an order confirmation email.
If you can't find the confirmation or shipping email, check your spam or promotions folder first — those emails are sent automatically from our server, so they sometimes end up there. If you entered a phone number at checkout, you may have received an SMS instead. If it's still missing after an hour, email us at hello@tryblackouts.com and we'll resend it.
How can I manage my order?
To make changes to a confirmed order, contact us at hello@tryblackouts.com as soon as possible. We process orders quickly, so we can only make changes if your parcel hasn't already been dispatched.
Where is my order?
To track a shipped order, visit our Track Order page and enter your tracking number. If your tracking hasn't updated in a few days or you're worried something's gone wrong, email hello@tryblackouts.com and we'll chase it with the courier.
Do you ship internationally?
Currently we ship within the UK and Europe. We're working on expanding to the US and Australia — sign up to our email list to be the first to know when it's live.

Does it actually block all the light?
Yes — when worn properly, zero light gets in. The fabric is fully opaque and the contoured shape covers your eyes from brow to cheek. For the best fit, pinch the top of the mask to seal the nose area, slip the loops around your ears, and adjust the sliders so it sits flush against your skin. Side sleepers, pull the loops slightly tighter on the pillow-facing side.
How does the cool side work?
The cool side is made from ice silk — a smooth synthetic fabric that feels instantly cold on contact. Unlike memory foam masks that trap heat, ice silk stays cooler for longer and cools right back down within seconds of removal. No freezer, no charging, no gel packs required.
What's the warm side for?
The breathable mesh side is designed for cooler nights, winter bedrooms, or anyone who prefers a cosier feel. It's soft, skin-friendly, and breathable enough that you won't sweat into it. Flip whichever side suits the night — one mask, two modes.
Why ear loops instead of a headstrap?
Headstraps flatten hair, leave marks on your forehead, and take ages to put on. Ear loops slip on like glasses — two seconds, no faff, no hair damage. Once you've used ear loops, you won't want to go back to a headstrap. They're also much more comfortable for side sleepers.
Will it press on my eyes?
No. The mask sits gently over your eyes without squashing them, so you can blink, move your eyes, and sleep without the uncomfortable pressure most flat masks cause. This also means no crushed lashes for anyone with extensions.
Will it fit my head?
Yes — the ear loops are fully adjustable via the sliders on each side. The mask is designed as one-size-fits-most and comfortably fits adult head sizes from small to large.
Can I wear it during the day?
Absolutely. The fast slip-on design makes it perfect for quick naps, desk breaks, migraine relief, post-screen recovery, or blocking out afternoon light when you need a reset.
How do I clean it?
Hand wash in cool water with a mild detergent, then lay flat to dry. Avoid machine washing, tumble drying, ironing, or wringing. Treated well, your Blackout will last for years.
Is it safe for kids?
The Blackout is designed for adult use. We recommend adult supervision for anyone under 12 due to the elastic ear loops.
